Normal gear set includes a pinion gear, a propeller shaft, a spur gear, and counter gears, for normal 4WD setup.  The gears on both ends of the propeller shaft are installed extra tight for transmitting engine power to the front wheels. 

 For Tamiya's ZERO, Super 1 and TZ chassis.

High Speed Counter Gears, 10T pinion, 21T counter and 27T spur gears combined make smaller gear ratio of 2.7 : 1 which is suitable for a long straight courses and small wheel setup.  Ball bearing inside of the counter gear minimizes loss of engine power and helps in giving direct power to other gears.   For a 4WD setup.

High Power Gear Set eliminates a propeller shaft and counter gears, and uses only a pinion gear and a spur gear, as a Direct-Gear.  A Direct-Gear setup will transmit motor power to the wheels with a smaller gear ratio which will result in increased speed.   By using a Direct-Gear setup, you must reverse the direction of your motor endbell.   Package includes one 14T pinion gear and two spur gears, 30T and 32T, resulting in 2.14 : 1 and 2.29 : 1 gear ratio.     For a Tricycle setup ONLY.
